- Inhalt
- This course is open to students of all subjects preparing for a term or year an in English-speaking country. It will provide participants with the skills necessary to writing a successful academic essay. Core skills taught are analysis of topic, selection of information, discussion of supporting evidence and opposing views, argumentation, text cohesion and the selection of appropriate grammar and vocabulary. These will be gained both through analysis of sample texts provided and through the independent application to an essay written over the duration of the course. Writing will be done mostly in class, but some homework will be given.
Participants will be graded on an essay written over the course of the semester and on a final classroom essay at the end of the semester."
