- Inhalt
- Conspiracy theories have recently received a great deal of public and academic attention. However, they are often not considered in a historiographical context. The example of Turkey shows that the transition between absurdist and realistic conspiracy theories is smooth and that conspiracy theory approaches form an integral part of historiography and social self-perception. Knowledge of relevant conspirational and historiographical patterns of thought enable a more differentiated understanding of Turkish political discourse.
