- Inhalt
- The course will be based on what is going on right now in the United States. We will examine and discuss current articles from the U.S. media (newspapers and magazines) and some longer background texts assigned on a weekly basis. The readings will probably also include British or other commentary to provide perspective on the issues. We will deal with a range of topics -- social, economic, political, to some extent with a focus on gender and race -- including, of course, the cultural clash of Obama / Biden vs. McCain / Palin peaking in November.
