Inhalt:

The seminar traces the development of modern municipal administration in early 20th century Iran, from the traditional 'baladiyeh' to the modern 'shahrdari'. Particular emphasis will be placed on responsibilities in the field of public health and hygiene. We will read and analyse a wide variety of relevant Persian primary sources.
