- Inhalt
- The colloquium is intended for anyone who is currently working on a master’s thesis, or who is intending to start a thesis sometime in the next 12 months. For students in the master’s programme, attending the research colloquium counts as the "Research module" (6 ECTS), which is part of the mandatory programme schedule. The colloquium is open to other interested students.
The format and content of the colloquium is flexible and depends on students' interests, so students should be prepared to take initiative in formulating questions that are relevant for advancing their knowledge. In order to gain 6 ECTS points, students are expected to present and discuss their work, which could be, depending on the progress of their topic: discussion of possible research questions, appropriate methods, relevant theoretical background; presentation of current state of the thesis (background, sources, methods, perhaps initial results), in order to receive feedback and guidance. We allow 45 minutes, including discussion, for these presentations. Students are also expected to actively and regularly participate in the discussion and feedback.
Please enrol on the VC for this course before 17th October 2022 if you intend to attend the research colloquium.
