Darüber hinaus empfehlen wir, die Grundlagenliteratur in Vorbereitung für die jeweiligen Sitzungen zu lesen.

Inhalt:

This seminar serves to deepen the understanding of the central themes of the lecture “Organizational Psychology”. To achieve this goal, key topics from the field of Work and Organizational Psychology, such as personnel selection, personnel development, or leadership, will be critically examined from both theoretical and practical points of view. The seminar is particularly suitable for students who would like to take the examination in the module Work and Organizational Psychology, in the Bachelor of Science, after the winter semester 2021/22.

Inhalt:

This seminar explores feedback in organizations, as an important component of performance management and performance appraisal. During this seminar, we will scrutinize key factors that make feedback effective. We will commence by defining the broad fields of performance management and performance appraisal. Next, we will examine the role of feedback providers (i.e., leaders) and the role and importance of the valence of feedback (i.e., positive and negative feedback). Finally, we will look into the implications that feedback recipient (i.e., the receiver of feedback) and context (i.e., settings) yield for the effectiveness of feedback.
