Status Quo of Product Management The main purpose of this survey was to picture a wide overview of the actual status of product management in the German-speaking business environment. The study was related to the research about product management in German scientific business literature. The survey put the main emphasis on the comparison of the usage, the implementation and the functions of product management in science and the actual business environment.
The survey reveals that business practices in the field of product management is more advanced than the scientific research regarding this topic. Further activities should concentrate on methodical education and development of information technologies for product management requirements.
