- Inhalt
- This course is an introduction to statistics in empirical political research and introduces the basic methods of data analysis using the statistical software R. It is designed as a refresher course for master students with little statistical training during their Bachelor degree. The course mainly covers descriptive statistics, probability distributions, statistical inference, correlation, and bivariate and multiple regression.
At the end of the seminar, more advanced regression techniques (logistic regression and panel regression) are briefly introduced. Besides, there are sessions where we will learn how to perform basic statistical analysis with the software package R.
