For all TEFL courses, our team considers three elements as vital:
1) Enrolment: If you sign up for a course, please make sure you attend the first session. If you cannot attend or you need to deregister from the seminar for whatever reason, please inform your lecturer.

3) Active participation: Please attend regularly, so that you can actively participate in our seminars, engage in fruitful discussions, take part in interactive tasks, and successfully complete your exam/paper.
- Inhalt
- Grading procedures and policies affect classroom practice (i.e. through the backwash effect. motivation, etc.). They also play a prominent role in the everyday experience of teachers and students; grading may lead to friction and adversary discussions, yet many teachers seem to have a hard time explaining what exactly they graded and what criteria they used in grading.
This seminar will explain the theoretical foundations of testing, the role of errors and their correction (especially in regard to interlanguage theory). Participants will then put these theoretical findings to use in designing and grading oral and written exams. This seminar will be held in German and English as the need arises.
International students please note: This seminar will mostly be held in English but some of the texts for this seminar are in German. Participants should therefore be willing to engage with German texts.
