How to Write a Term Paper (B.A./M.A./L.A.) (Literary Studies)

Inhalt:

This course aims to assist students in writing their first term paper in literary or cultural studies in Bamberg. We will discuss (and practice!) how to choose a topic, develop a coherent structure for a term paper, how to involve theoretical frameworks, and how to adhere to the MLA citation rules. You will also be asked to compile a short "Works Cited" list. Finally, we will discuss the different types of source material that can appear in the list of references of your term paper. Students have the chance to present a provisional outline in a closed discussion forum, where they will receive feedback from fellow students and the instructor.

If you are interested in participating in this exercise course send an Email to the instructor, who will then give you the password to the VC course of this class.

Please note that this is an exercise course and not a lecture! You will be expected to participate in the tasks and discussions. No ECTS points will be awarded for this class!

The course will take place every two weeks and starts in the second week of the semester (October 25).
