- Happily ever after? Maybe, maybe not! Despite the pluralization of living arrangements, the context of romantic couple relationships, particularly marriage, remains the dominant arrangement for family life. This seminar explores various forms of inequality within couple relationships. A key focus of the seminar is the (re)production of gender inequalities at the societal level within (heterosexual) couples in areas such as caregiving, employment, income, wealth, and retirement, as well as the underlying mechanisms that contribute to these disparities. The second scope goes beyond economic outcomes and emphasizes studies related to relationship quality, intimate partner violence, sexual health and the consequences of divorce. The seminar will be conducted in the English. The seminar is structured in double sessions (14:00-17:15) and takes place on the following dates: 18th October, 25th October, 8th November, 15th November, 22nd November,29th November.
