International BaTEG Summer School 2023

While on the one hand, globalisation and cultural diversity have been increasing over the last decades, global conflicts and potential for cultural conflict have as well. It is thus crucial for teachers to have an understanding of (their own and others’) culture(s) and an awareness of how culture shapes individuals. Teachers need to be equipped for teaching in culturally diverse classrooms, handling cultural conflict and intercultural communication, and preparing pupils for a globalised world. The international BaTEG Summer School 2023 discusses issues in (inter-, trans-, cross-)cultural education and adresses pre-service teachers, teachers and teacher educators alike. The Summer School is open to students and staff from the University of Bamberg as well as the BaTEG partner universities. External participants may be considered.
