Under the overarching topic  Building Bridges\, Bridging Gaps \, we are bringing together a diverse range of scholars from all subject areas of English and American Studies. This year s topic\,  Encounters and Interactions \, is a continuation of the student and alumni conference organized by the Joint Programme in English and American Studies in Barcelona in April 2026.  Encounters and Interactions  invites reflection on the relational dimensions of our disciplines in the broadest sense  the ways in which meaning is produced through contact\, translation and exchange across regions\, media and disciplinary boundaries.
