Introduction to neurobiology of perception and cognition

Inhalt:
The course starts with an exploration of the human perceptual system, focusing primarily on vision, but also covering topics of auditory and time perception. Next, it advances to topics of cognition, including attention, memory, decision making, etc. The presentation mixes together behavioral and imaging studies, as well as presenting basic neurobiology of the brain and data from electrophysiological studies. A good starting point for anyone interested in neural architecture of the human brain.

 

Introduction to statistical analysis using R

An introductory course for using free software package R for statistical analysis. Topics include import from and export into other software packages (i.e. Excel, SPSS, etc.), efficient data processing, text processing using regular expressions, statistical analysis (including both parametric, non-parametric, and permutation analysis), and creating production-quality figures.
