Ausgewählte Probleme der Migrationssoziologie: Sozialer Zusammenhalt in einer diversifizierten Gesellschaft

Please register for this seminar via Flexnow by October 13, 2022. You will then be added to the Virtual Campus where you will find further information.

  • Since this course is fully run in English, students are required to have very good written & spoken English

  • The course will have a discussion part every week. To promote your active participation, compulsory readings for each week should be read before coming to the course.

Assessment: Portfolio and Presentation
Every student is expected to make their portfolio with three (3) small tasks and a presentation on one of the sessions chosen by themselves.
Inhalt:
In this course, students will familiarise themselves with fundamental knowledge of diversity in migration studies and therefore, be able to think about the right way of social cohesion and integration in this diversified society. The course will guide students to find how the awareness of diversity can change the prospect of society they belong. Eventually, the students will be able to suggest a way to contribute to the betterment of "living together" in such a diversified society.
