- Inhalt
- The Media Session is designed as an extension of those classes of the American Department that work with movies. However, we encourage all students to attend the movie sessions, because we show American classics as well as classics inspired by America.
This term the Media Session is dedicated to Shopping Films. Shop, store, mall, farmer’s market, kiosk, supermarket… there are many locations of commercial exchange and retail therapy available in ‘real’ and cinematic life. This semester we will focus on movies that take place in or around shops, thus gaining a better understanding of the portrayal of commerce, customer-clerk-relationships, and the role that shopping plays in North American cinematic culture.
The final schedule can be viewed in the VC course "Schwarzes Brett Amerikanistik".
