This course requires prior knowledge of quantitative data analysis (e.g. linear regression).
- Inhalt
- The course takes a look at the consequences of socio-economic problems and inequality for political participation. In addition to classical early studies, the course discusses current findings on social problems and, among other things, political socialization and integration, voting behavior, and populism.
Based on the required readings, each session will pay special attention to the concrete empirical implementation of the respective research question. Problems in the transfer from the theoretical to the empirical level and the interpretation of the results of the analysis will be in the foreground.
