This module consists of two courses that have to be attended in the same semester. This course has to be combined with the course "Assimilation, transnationalism, and superdiversity in contemporary migration studies" (Sunyoung Park).
Requirements: Portfolio that consists of several tasks that have to be completed in the two seminars.
- Inhalt
- In this seminar, we will first address the concept of ethnic boundaries. We will then delve into the various processes that contribute to the emergence and dissolution of ethnic boundaries. With this theoretical framework established, we will turn our attention to practical applications of these ideas and examine concrete examples of ethnic boundary making.
