- Inhalt
- Objective:
In this seminar, we focus on the consequences of incentives on economic behavior. We analyze which role incentives play in influencing economic decisions. In addition, we will discuss how human behavior systematically deviates from the rational, purely self-interested “homo economicus” often assumed in economic models. After an introduction, students will study, present and critically assess current research articles. In addition, students will discuss possible extensions of models, modeling approaches for particular problems, discuss applications of these articles, and analyze consequences for public policy.
Requirements:
Only a limited number of participants may take part in the seminar. Preference will be given to EES-Master students, who have not yet participated in another seminar. Students must have successfully completed the course Advanced Microeconomics.
Students who want to participate in the seminar, should contact Dr. Stefanie Schmitt (stefanie.schmitt@uni-bamberg.de) no later than 24th of April to get access to the Virtual Campus Course and further instrucions.
