- Inhalt
- This is a course designed for students from all faculties who have to write academic texts in English.
By examining a variety of texts and reading them closely,
we will learn more about the following types of texts in terms of
their structures and functions:
• Compare and contrast essay
• Cause and effect essay
• Persuasive essay
The course will develop writing, reading and critical thinking skills,
beginning with writing good sentences before moving onto writing paragraphs and finally planning short essays.
In addition, through guided exercises, we will discuss how to edit our writing to make it more accurate.
A portfolio of written tasks (worth 50% of the final mark) and a final examination (worth 50% of the final mark) comprise the
components of the evaluation for the class.
