Lehramt neu RS/BS: Zusatzmodul Landeskunde: Vorlesung/Übung (4 ECTS: Referat (15 Min.) und mündliche Prüfung (15 Min.))
Lehramt neu GY: Vertiefungsmodul Landeskunde/Kulturwissenschaft Vorlesung/Übung (3 ECTS: Schriftliche Prüfung (Klausur)(90 Min.)
oder Referat (15 Min.)
Die Prüfungsart wird durch den/die Lehrveranstaltungsleiter/in zu Semesterbeginn der Lehrveranstaltung festgelegt und dokumentiert).
Students of Anglistik from other courses of study are also welcome to attend!

- Inhalt
- This course will cover contemporary issues and current events in the Unites States as they relate to modern US society, culture, and
government. From the pressing issues facing US politics to the unique lifestyle, values and identity of the US public, we will examine the
21st century US experience through a joint analysis of current events.
The scope of Landeskunde US Contemporary issues will be anchored to modern US issues.
However, historical context will be given when necessary and we will also look at the recent past and, to some extent, we will speculate about the future for the US.
The class will be a mixture of lecture and discussion, and students are required to be up to date with current affairs in the United
States.
Such an awareness will ultimately help Lehramt students perform better in the Überblickswissen portion of the oral exam on the Staatsexamen.
