- Inhalt
- Security and privacy are integral parts of information systems today. While security experts know how to create secure systems, they lack understanding of the needs and perceptions of users. As a result, we often end up with secure systems that lack usability or usable systems that lack security. The discipline "usable security" embraces this conflict by empirically studying users and developers as well as proposing improved systems.
Potential seminar topics include usability issues in the following security and privacy contexts:
- secure passwords
- encryption
- protection from online tracking
- security warnings
- interface design
- privacy policies
