Inhalt:

This seminar deals with gender relations in post-school education and the labor market, in theoretical as well as in empirical terms. Special attention will be paid to on mechanisms that transform perceived differences between women and men into gender inequalities and their change over time in different welfare state regimes, educational systems, and labor markets. We will discuss theoretical approaches that offer explanations to these issues as well as recent empirical studies that shed new light on them.
